The Hosta ‘August Moon’ belongs to the Family, Liliaceae and Genus Hosta. The plant is 10 inches to 18 inches tall and the Growth rate is Medium. It has a very dense circular mound with large round seer-suckered leaves, which are wide, heart-shaped and green gold colored with slightly wrinkled margins, with approximately 9 to 11 vein pairs, giving it an exceptionally striking appearance. The green gold color of the leaves gradually turns to harvest gold with the advancement of summer. The Leaf appearance is moderately corrugated and the top texture is slightly shiny with the bottom texture being glaucous bloom. The leaf substance is good making them slug resistant.

The funnel shaped or open bell-shaped, white lavender flowers are prolifically produced on 24″ scapes and blossom from the period of July and August. The Flower has no fragrance.
