Having located the area for your shade garden and having decided the plants you would like to have in your garden, you now move on to sketch where and how you should plant to make your garden look more attractive. To achieve this try planting the plants in groups of threes instead of planting then in single which would make the space look empty. Try to complement and contrast the color of the plants with each other. This will provide a strikingly attractive appearance to the garden. Try to plant the taller shrubs towards the back of the garden gradually descending to smaller ones towards the front. Try using curved edges instead of straight lines.

Also keep provision of organic matter for the soil and insecticide to prevent your plants from the attack of slugs and snails.
